Collaborative Consulting is a leading professional services firm that specializes in optimizing its clients business and technology capabilities. We are actively looking to for experienced Performance Architects and Performance Engineers to contribute across our performance engineering services.
Collaborative's performance engineering services drive improvements in information technology and ensure scalability and stability for existing and planned systems, including improving overall quality, reliability, capacity, security, and performance. Collaborative provides expertise from strategic advisory services through tactical software performance tuning services, ensuring the success of business and IT investments for our clients. We bring a robust and programmatic approach to assessing, testing, and improving software performance. We work both at the initiative and program level, engineering performance into solutions while still under development, or providing sound advice to improve, and if necessary, create, in-house and software performance engineering (PE) operations.
Our Performance Architects and Performance Engineers provide leadership and direction for architecture analysis and performance best practices; bring expertise in the areas of system and application architecture, as well as system monitoring, configuration and tuning; provide tactical support and execute performance analysis; provide expertise in performance engineering process definition and performance improvement; and provide technical expertise across multiple distributed technologies. These often include Java, .Net, Oracle, SQL Server, middleware, large scale distributed system integration, and multiple platform technologies including Cloud and Mobile.
Lead technical consultant
Strong hands-on Java/J2EE Architect
Experience designing and building complex, web-based applications using Java-based technologies
Strong Performance Tuning skillet: Performance testing background and troubleshooting skills
Experienced with OracleWeblogic Application Server (troubleshooting with a focus on troubleshooting Weblogic configuration issues
Experience with the out of the box JVM monitoring tools JConsole and Visual VM
Experience with one or more APM tools a plus - Wily Introscope, dynaTrace, New Relic
Experience with third party product analysis a plus
Solid understanding of Java Virtual Machine (JVM) internals - understanding Java Heap and garbage collection tuning, ability to diagnose runtime issues via JVM thread dump analysis, ability to diagnose memory issues via Java Heap dump analysis
Exposure to load testing tools, such as MP Loadrunner
Solid understanding of Oracle database (SQL)
Solid communication skills
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Consulting experience preferredEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
