Summary:
Under general supervision and according to prescribed specifications and procedures, operates panel board controls, switches, and valves to mix and blend specified ingredients to produce a gel from batches of ground hide through various stages of mixing, blending, homogenizing and storage.
Skills:
Have knowledge of equipment, valves, controls, and flow of dispersion Know mixing and transfer procedures; how to observe gauges and meters, record temperatures, cycle times, pH readings, and water levels.
Know how and when to take samples and when to change filters.
Know all safety rules and handling procedures for chemical solutions used.
Know how and when to transcript material and when to add ingredients.
Know cleaning procedures and how to disassemble and assemble valves.
Be familiar with gel transmission system.
Know function of filters, procedure for replacing filters in housing, how to load and operate washing machine.
Know how to bleed air from newly installed filters without losing gel supply pressure Education:
High School Graduate or equivalent Must have good sight, touch, and hearing Must have good manual dexterity Must know how to operate air hose, filter assemblies, replacement filters, pumps, inserts, gaskets, wrenches, and utility knives Job Type:
