In particular, Matinas is developing a portfolio of products based upon its proprietary lipid nanocrystal (LNC) drug delivery platform, which can solve complex challenges relating to the safe and effective delivery of potent medicines, making them orally bioavailable, less toxic and targeted to cells and tissues.
About the position:
Are you passionate to work in a dynamic environment to gain a lot of technical experience! This is a hands-on lab position focusing on supporting the formulation, cell culture and analytical teams with different lab tasks.
This position will report to the director of formulation.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Assist lab scientists on LNC formulation, cell culture and HPLC work.
Prepare different stock solutions, liposomes, and buffers.
Help to perform different characterization tasks including measuring particle size, running assays, and maintaining cells, etc.
Help with different cell-based assays (ELISA, cytotoxicity, cell uptake, etc.
).
Equilibrate different lab equipment and take care of preventative maintenance.
Maintain laboratory inventories for supplies and chemicals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, biomedical engineering or any relevant field.
A minimum of 1 years' experience in a similar role is preferred.
Good understanding of different laboratory equipment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Outstanding and accurate analytical abilities.
Experience with cell culture or formulation development is a plus.
Physical
Qualifications:
Standing to perform bench tests, bending, lifting up to 40 lbs, and ability to wear all required safety equipment such as safety glasses, mask, gloves, lab coat as work and environment require.
