Full time position Basic Job Function Full Time PURCHASING / LOGISTIC COORDINATOR will provide all administrative functions to support purchasing / logistics related activities for various equipment, streel fabrication and construction contracts in a project-oriented organization.
The Candidate responsibilities will be to monitor the progress of purchase orders, interacting directly with vendors to ensure the prompt and accurate delivery of goods, generate and maintain expediting reports and update Project Team on progress.
The ideal candidate for this role is a self-starter that possesses great organizational and time management skills.
Required Skills Strong communicator with negotiation skills and be able to grasp project budgets Excellent verbal, written, listening and interpersonal communication skills in order to maintain and grow business contacts with suppliers Excellent computer proficiency, including internet, e-mail, order-entry system, MS Word, and Excel Multi-Culture Awareness experience and skills Self-driven, analytical, results-oriented, a quick learner and a problem solver Team player able to handle a large volume of work in a dynamic, fast paced environment and the ability to prioritize tasks according to their urgency without sacrificing efficiency or quality Essential Functions And Responsibilities Contacts suppliers and freight forwarders, acquiring quotes, compile bid tabs and verify accuracy, completeness and competitiveness of Vendors offerings to RFQ requirements prior preparing purchase orders Under general supervision, responsible for entering and issuing purchase orders, invoice processing and approval Record keeping of all signed purchase orders, quotations, invoices Resolving vendor-related problems regarding specifications, timing, quality, quantity and delivery Expediting of Vendors, Monitor Vendor Performance and track delivery of equipment and materials Prepare all necessary documents for shipment Provide shipping instructions and monitor shipments with the Freight Forwarders Facilitating the resolution of disputes between the company and its suppliers Existing/new Vendor qualification and auditing Maintain database of supplier procurement records on commodities and services bought:
cost, lead time, product quality, evaluation of vendor performance, etc.
Occasional travel to visit vendor's facilities, both domestic and international.
Education & Experience Associate or Bachelors' Degree preferred; High School Diploma or equivalent required Minimum 2-5 years of proven experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Logistics, Administrative, or similar role Compensation:
Competitive and comprehensive, based on experience.
