Responsibilities:

Drive a continuous improvement in Project Execution for commissioning.
Develop, maintain, update, implement and staff the commissioning program for Capital Projects.
Messer relies on outsource resources for most of our commissioning activities.
This role, recruits, trains, schedules, and reviews these resources continuously to ensure our projects are properly staffed.
Develop and improve standard practices for commissioning of plants.
Leverage knowledge of ASU and CO2 plant operations to ensure proper due diligence in check out of the plant prior to final commissioning and then documentation of all steps and processes to ensure smooth commissioning, testing and hand over to Production.
Support the Proposal team in the development of Project Definition and Execution Strategies as related to check out and commissioning of plants/projects.
As required, participate in PSR5 and PSSR processes.
Assist the Director of Field Operations in identifying gaps in commissioning practices and processes.
Drive solutions, and best practices.
Provide input and support the development of check-out and commissioning training.
Conduct training as needed.
Develop, implement, and oversee QA/QC process as relates to check-out and commissioning of plants.
Oversee individual plant commissioning efforts (50% of the time).
Other responsibilities as assigned Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related experience.
10-year minimum operation and commissioning experience in air separation and/or liquid carbon dioxide production.
Experience with process safety management, risk management and field operations.
Understanding and experience with QA/QC theory and application.
Mastery of commissioning and operation processes, systems, tools, and applications.
Knowledge of large industrial gas operations is preferred.
Ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of project and operations teams.
Ability to travel up to 50% or more as needed, including weekends and holidays.
