Foodservice, Business Development Intern
The Business Development Intern, Foodservice will be responsible for developing sales opportunities and analyzing sales growth within the foodservice channel in the USA and Canada. The candidate will work directly with with sales, marketing, culinology, and Platform teams. He/She will analyze growth of Ingredion business within the foodservice channel with a focus on Food Systems, Plant-based Proteins, Specialty Starches, Sweeteners, Vegetable and Fruit-based ingredients, and Specialty Industrial solutions in the Health and Wellness and Pizza segments.
Qualified candidates will have:
- Progress towards a Bachelor s or Master s Degree in Food Science, Food, Marketing or a related field with a minimum GPA of at least 3.0/4.0 preferred
- Ability to work 40hrs per week during the summer internship term
- Demonstrated experience with hands-on food concept development formulation laboratory and/or pilot plant equipment
- Knowledge of common food processes, food ingredient functionality and ingredient interactions preferred
- Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills (technical reports for distribution, presentations, data analysis etc.)
- Proven proficiency using MS Office Programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, ect.)
- Ability to travel 10-15% domestically
- Reliable transportation required to get to and from facility each work day

- Be a currently enrolled student in a Bachelor s Degree Program. If currently enrolled in an undergrad status, must have completed at least two years of coursework with status as a sophomore, junior or non-graduating senior.
