SharePoint Specialist needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Bridgewater, NJ.
What You'll Be Doing:
- The role is a Service Team Member providing support and continuous improvement development for an intelligent authoring platform embracing content management.
- The candidate will be responsible for the service level management, administration and on-going improvements to enterprise level SharePoint platform.
- This includes testing, installing, upgrading, configuring SharePoint farm and services as well as 3rd party software products.
- The ideal candidate will also plan and coordinate change management of processes and work as part of a team towards improvements and upgrades to the system through use of best practices and corporate policy.
- The Specialist is responsible for translating business needs to technical requirements participating in the delivery of technical solutions to complex business and technical requirements using the platform.
- The Specialist will foster a culture of continuous improvement in all areas of technology and instill the principles of this culture in the team.
- Ability to lead complete change implementation using regulated environment constraints, including analysis, design, configuring, programming and unit testing for applications based on Microsoft technologies
- Knowledge of the features Microsoft SharePoint services, SharePoint Server and Office 365
- Integrates with team members in technology, architecture and delivery of solutions
- Creates a shared sense of direction and community among the teams
- Ability to articulate and present different points-of-views on various technologies
- Proven ability to transfer knowledge
- Mentors team members in technology, architecture and delivery of applications
- Creates a shared sense of direction and community among the teams
- Ability to articulate and present different points-of-views on various technologies
- Identify and investigate SharePoint errors to provide resolution.
- Proven ability to transfer knowledge and stay aware of current trends and technical advancements
What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must have at least three (3+) years SharePoint Administration, Deployment and Configuration experience, including SharePoint 2010. Experience with SharePoint 2013 would be a plus.
- Must have experience with SharePoint Designer and features (including Workflows, Event Handlers, Webparts)
- Must have experience in writing PowerShell scripts and knowledge of Microsoft IIS.
- Good understanding of the SharePoint security and compliance model.
- Experience with XML Stylesheets, MS Word Templates, VBA and Macro development
- Experience in implementing, operating, fine tuning, optimizing and troubleshooting enterprise deployments of SharePoint and related components.
- Provide ongoing support service through IT Help Desk. (ie: access issues, new sites, custom developed solutions and third party solutions.)
- Experience working with XML and familiar with XML modelling
- Experience with Agile methodologies and principles.
- Ability to successfully anticipate issues or challenges without being specifically directed and multi-tasking skills.
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interact professionally and courteously with people at all levels by phone, e- mail, and in person.
- Exercises sound business judgment when making decisions and adhere to external and internal policies and regulations.
- Demonstrates analytical thinking related to IT system development, implementation, and problem resolution.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
- SharePoint Certifications a plus
